GENERATIONS!

I know I'm a little late on the band wagon, but I finally got my hands on Generations.... It's loading as I type! Unfortunately, this probably means a temporary hiatus on my items lol. Oh! I'll be out of town next week so don't expect any updates, though I do expect to have anna's conversions up by july 9.

A note to fellow Creatores: Please, don't pack more than one item in sims3packs

So today I went on a sim shopping spree. I'm talkin at least 100 packages and 100 sims3packs. So, with this whole new organization merging pack thig I hadnt really thought about how I was going to have time to install all of it. Should've thought of THAT. So I unpacked and organized EVERYTHING one by one, but then, after converting all of my sims3packs to packages I had another nasty surprise. Since creators have put two or more objects in one sims3pack, I had over 500 weird named packages -_-. I would love it if creators would put just one item in them, but in all reality this is more of a lesson to myself. Never, ever, load that much CC at one time. EVER. Well I'm almost done merging my packages and then I will FINNALY be able to play. I tell ya, I am amazed by my own stupidity sometimes

Up and Coming: Playstation Clutter, the Playstation

Yesh my peeps, I have finally meshed, uv mapped and began setting the overlay for my playstation. Whoop Whoop! I discovered this brilliant software called Wings 3D and have absolute preference over it compared to Milkshape. I just use milkshape to size correct, scale, and export my meshes to WSO now. This new program is oh so much better... and free!

Anyway, I hope you see an improvement in my meshes ^.^. Here is the WIP shot of the playstation. I have to finish the overlay, maybe fix the multiplier, and test it in game and then BAM! It's done :).

I think I may be able to mesh controllers now... We shall see :).

Up and Coming: Anna's Pottery Barn Teen Room Conversions

So I was looking around BPS and a member asked for conversions of Anna's PB teen room (located here) and so I'm going to tackle it. The bed is being evil, but I did get a few things converted so far. Since Anna is a retired designer, her designs are up for converting (according to multiple users on BPS). When I'm finished you'll be able to find it BPS and right here on my blog.

Also, I started on a Playstation for my playstation clutter set, but I can't think of what else to add other then game disks/cases. Controllers would be a heck of an adventure to mesh, but hey, maybe I will :).

Up and Coming: Playstation Clutter/objects

Yeah... So I'm still being inspired by FF7. So far, I just have a FF7 case... Which took far longer than it should have. I'm dumb and made my UV map rectangular instead of square *facepalm*. Oh... And it's my first overlay on a custom mesh so I had to figure that out... But I've got it! And now, making more will be easy peasey!

Just to give you an idea...

I know this seems dumb and simple, but I really am learning so much! Every mesh I make makes the next one that much easier and, eventually, I'll be awesome and amazing like some of my favorite designers... Well in theory lol. Anyway, I hope y'all are as excited as me! :D

New Mesh: Final Fantasy VII Fandom Posters

Perfect for your nerdy teen sim!

Barret

Cloud and Tifa

Zack and Aerith

Sephiroth and Vincent

This set includes posters of Barret, Tifa, Cloud, Aerith, Zack, Sephiroth, and Vincent.

(and for all of you object venturers out there, here is the mesh. Please, do not claim it as your own and credit it back to me. Oh, and don't use it on the exchange ^.^.)

-----
Some fan inspired posters :). I've been playing a lot of FF7 and Crisis Core... And Dissidia, for that matter XD. Anyway, it really inspired me to make some posters. I know the images are a little fuzzy (especially on mine cause my graphics suckkk), but I couldn't figure out how to resize the overlay. If anyone knows how to do this, I would be thrilled to know how :). Oh! And if there is a character that you would like to see, just drop a comment and I'll post them up here. I think I got the most important guys, though I could include Cid Yuffie Cait Sith ect. ect.

Enjoy and happy simming!

Parisian Bench

Perfect for your shabby chic bedroom or living room :)

This set includes only the bench pictured (pillows and other decor is not included.)

-----
This object took quite some time to complete, but I'm fairly happy with the result ;). If you find any errors, feel free to report them below and I'll see what I can do. Everything is meshed from scratch.

EDIT: Made the shadows on the seat less dark :).

Up and Coming: FF7 Posters!

So I've been playing a lot of Crisis Core lately and have begun playing FF7 again (I got frustrated and took a break for a while ~_~) and it really made me want some posters in my game for my nerdy teen sims :). So, I took an original game mesh and resized it and added these characters:

  • Sephirtoh
  • Cloud
  • Zack
  • Aerith
  • Tifa
  • Barret
  • Vincent

Now, all I have left is to test it ingame and then they will all be released! If you want me to add any more characters, please comment and I will do so :).
Happy simming!

Insane Sims 3 Crash

Yes... Tis true. While installing my latest expansion packs (Ambitions and World Adventures) my Sims 3 did some very strange things and crashed beyond repair. I spent my entire day Saturday uninstalling/reinstalling, deleteing ect. the Sims 3 and the expansions. The good news is I did get them to work and everything is running smoothly (well, as smoothly as possible with the crap processor/amount of RAM I have). The bad news is... I lost everything.... Except for my CC (or well everything that was a .package file... which is about... half of it :/).

This means I lost my Macias family.

Yes, I'm pretty upset... But, the sims go on ;).So anyone who was following their story, I'm so sorry, but they are gone. Forever. Yes, go cry. XD. Anywho, I've started a new family and have pictures to post veryyy soon! :).

Another thing I've been up to is learning how to mesh. I've been hittin some ruts, but I'm SOOO close to releasing my first object!! Everyone, get excited :D.

That's all for nowww

Disrespectful Players

So I just learned today while reading a post on Club Crimsyn that players of TS3 are being far more disrespectful then players of TS2. Many are posting comments that a either completely disrespectful to CC creators or boarding on disrespectful. Comments like "I would download this if..." or even "This sucks! blah blah doesn't work! Fix it!" are littered throughout websites like My Sims 3 Blog and TSR. Let me say this now: This is in no way insulting the efforts of My Sims 3 Blog or TSR staff. They're doing their best to keep these kinds of things to a minimum, but they still happen. Anyway, when I saw this post I was literally appaled. Ever since I started using CC (probably... Early 2008) I've always been respectful to creators whether it be slicking the "thanks" button on MTS or leaving a comment about their work. I can't imagine people being rude or disrespectful to these creators! They don't have to create things an post them. It is exhausting, sometimes, creating things, posting them, and keep track of a website while also juggling real life. To, in turn, be insulted or disrespected after doing that would depress anyone and has made many TS2 veteran designers quit instead of designing for TS3.

Everybody knows the CC maker Pilar, right? Pilar's website has over 300 thousand views and she/he is very popular on TSR as well. I was browsing Pilar's blog today (as I often do ;)) and I found that barely ANY uploads had comments! No thank yous no great jobs. Nothing. Keep in mind, this isn't rude, but it is a little bit disrespectful to not tell a designer how much you appriciate their objects in game. Objects take hours of meshing and hard work to get right; please show how much you care!

So my challenge to all of you is to comment on everything you download, if not, then at least the majority of things. We all love to be praised for our work and designers aren't machines; they're people too! Please, repay the kindness they've bestowed on you and thank them :).

(these are all the photos of the Macias' that I have. Raws and photoshopped. They are roughly in time-order... very roughly lol.
